Speedy Logistics was born from a young, risky impulse, with one clear purpose: to do things right.
I was 22 when I founded Speedy Logistics. I had just graduated from a university my family paid for with great effort; my parents had emigrated to Spain, and that's when the pandemic began. I was also working at a traditional freight agency whose manager, close to retirement and with his life already built, wasn't looking to grow. That was understandable. But I was at the opposite point in life.
I earned a little over minimum wage and did everything: I ran operations and paperwork, handled payments and collections, released cargo, made deliveries in person and even changed the light bulbs when they burned out. I felt I could, and should, build something more.
I wanted a different kind of company: digital and paperless, agile, free of bureaucracy, honest, transparent, without excess, respectful, reliable, high quality and powered by technology. A company that felt like a family, where everyone wins and is happy to work.
I'll admit that at first I also wanted to earn more. Even so, I paid my first employee more than I made: I gave her my entire salary plus an extra amount I financed with my credit card, the same card I lived on for two or three months, because all my income went into keeping my company's payroll going.
None of this would be possible without God, who has been with us every step of the way and with whom we have come through many hard moments. That faith is also part of our DNA.
